ACTION -I was extremely strict and picky when watching the breeze ups. Horses to make my shortlist must have displayed a very good action. I look for a fluent, efficient action with a good length of stride, whilst running comfortably in good time respective to their pedigree (sprinter or stayer).

PHYSICALITY -Most importantly, the horse must be an athlete! It must have good conformation, well proportioned, well balanced, straight legs, good angles, good knees and hocks, everything working in unison together like clockwork. 

ATTITUDE -A willing horse will take you a long way. Having the ability is part of the challenge. A horse's attitude will bring the best out of it. 

VETTING -We only purchase horses who pass our strict vetting criteria, scoping, x-rays and a clinical examination. The horse must present as low risk by our world leading vet Dr Chris Lawler.

VALUE -It's not hard to find a nice racehorse. The obvious ones stand out, and most of them will make far more money that what I would value them at. Finding a racehorse that ticks all of the boxes and still represents good value is not so easy. I like to offer value together with quality.
